Welcome to the memorial page for

Betty (Weeks) Esterline

March 8, 1949 ~ March 27, 2017 (age 68)

Gardiner- Betty Esterline, 68, of Gardiner died Monday March 27, 2017 at the Alfond Center for Health. She was born in Gardiner on March 8, 1949 a daughter of Alton and Mildred Weeks, Sr.

A graduate of Gardiner High School, Betty was employed in many various fields. She was a wallpaper hanger, daycare provider, a shoe factory worker, a cashier at Zayre and Ames.

Betty was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Farmingdale. She was a Sunday school teacher for 29 plus years. She enjoyed the young children she taught, helping them understand the love Heavenly Father has for us all, explaining how blessed we are to be on earth to enjoy one another and to relay God’s words.

Betty was involved with the Girl Scouts Leaders for different troops and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxially.

Betty had a contagious laugh, a smile that makes the sun seem dim, and had the best pun jokes. She always liked to make up her own jokes to make us laugh. Her absolute favorite material to work with on a daily basis was Glitter. Betty was a genuine woman. She always had a smile for you, a song for you, and enough hugs to last a lifetime. Betty could sit and talk with you for hours or just stop for a quick joke to brighten your day. She always knew what to say to help guide you in the direction of our Heavenly Father. She loved you and cared for you like there was no tomorrow. You could always count on Betty to help you, love you, make you feel wanted and needed and allowed you to be yourself without being judged. Betty’s children and grandchildren where her life and she loved them with every ounce of her being. She would always stop and put a smile on her face when the kids played and said their laughter was the most wonderful sound. Betty was a precious soul here on earth and she is now with Heavenly Father. She is loved and missed dearly by everyone. Quote from Betty “Always have a smile on your face and a song in your heart”

She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, Richard Weeks, Alton Weeks and George Weeks.

She is survived by her husband William R Esterline, Jr, her daughter Mildred Esterline (friend Jeanne, and son Casey), her daughter Wanda Palmerie (husband Chris, daughters Ariel and Phoenix, sons Nick and Andrew); her son William Esterline III (wife Tina, daughter Alyssa, son Aiden); her daughter Donna Johnson (Husband Mike, daughter Arianna, son Michael); her sisters Ruth Strout, Rachel Stinson, Alice Curtis, and Patricia Mansir, and sister in law Sandra Bowman.
