Beverly (Pottle) BowdenOctober 3, 1937 ~ March 19, 2017 (age 79)
Beverly Bowden, 79 of Washington died Sunday March 19, 2017. Born in Searsport Maine on November 3, 1937, she was the daughter of James Pottle and Bernice Annis. Beverly was retired from the State of Maine, employed by the former AMHI in housekeeping.
Beverly was always on the go and could be found just about anywhere. She loved going for car rides and enjoying the scenery, bird watching and her cats. Her favorite place to go was Boothbay where she could go fishing and to drive up north in the woods to see if they could spot a moose. She never could drive by a flea market or yard sale to see what she could find. She was an avid doll collector and loved to display them around her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Beverly is survived by a son, Robert L Bowden Jr and his wife Karen of Whitefield. A grandson Robert L Bowden III of Lafayette, AL, a granddaughter, Stephanie Poulin and her husband Daniel of Lewiston, great-grandchildren Eska and Keanen Bowden, Dakota Tibbetts and Nicholas Morrissette; a brother James Pottle and wife Sharon of Chelsea, ME, several nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her life-long companion O’Neil Bechard, brother Robert and a sister Leatrice Bailey.
The family would like to thank Washington Manor and staff for the love and care they provided during this last year.
A memorial service will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 5pm at Staples Funeral home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner.
