Hildred (Hillie) Packard (Smith) CorumAugust 5, 1931 ~ March 17, 2017 (age 85)
Randolph-Hildred ( Hillie ) Packard Smith Corum, passed away March 17th, 2017 in Augusta following a long illness. She was 85.
“Hillie” was born on August 5th, 1931 in Hallowell, Maine. She graduated from Hallowell High School and later married Robert S. Corum of Hopewell, Va. As an accountant she first started work at W.T. Grants in Augusta and worked there for 8 years, then for the State of Maine for an additional 25 years.
“Hillie” was a family person who loved to have her family surround her and in return she surrounded them with her love, her constant smile and her infectious laughter. Her sons state her homemade pickles were quite special! Her voice could often be heard singing at the Randolph Methodist Church on Sundays
She is survived by her three sons: Michael, Patrick and Robert, her six grandsons and three great- grandchilren. She is preceded in death: by her sister, Norma Thompson, who died several weeks earlier, and survived by two brothers; Robert and Morris Smith.
“Hilly” will be buried, the same day as her sister Norma and near her mother Dorothy Packard Fish, in a private ceremony and burial to be held this spring in Chelsea, Me.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Randolph Methodist Church.
