Welcome to the memorial page for

Janice Ann (Partridge) Feeney

April 24, 1940 ~ September 26, 2017 (age 77)

Janice Ann (Partridge) Feeney, Age 77, passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 26th at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta after an extended illness.

Janice was born in Gardiner on April 24, 1940, the daughter of Harry and Alice Partridge, the third of a family of seven children.

Shortly after graduating from Gardiner High School in 1958 she met Edward J Feeney of Brooklyn NY. Within weeks of their meeting they were married on October 25, 1958, and enjoyed nearly 59 years of their lives together.

After moving to New York, Jan and Ed started a family, raising their two sons, Mike and Tom. It was not long before the family relocated back in Pittston Maine, where they would remain for 48 years.

Janice was multi-talented. She was a stay-at-home mother who transitioned into several occupations over the course of her working career. Jan built electronic components, stitched clothing, was an office assistant, and finished her working career for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

In retirement, Janice was an avid bingo player, loved to crochet, and spoil her grandchildren. She was often spotted at lawn sales looking for the best bargains.

Janice was pre-deceased by her parents, as well as her brothers Donald, John and Gerald Partridge.

Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years Edward, her son Michael Feeney and wife Nancy of Fayette Maine, son Thomas Feeney and companion Valerie Giusani of Whitefield Maine, grandchildren Justin and wife Sarah, Shawn and wife Sarah, Casey, Courtney, Kevin and Amanda. Sisters Marsha Thomas of Gardiner, Judy Cadwallader of Augusta, and Shirley Michaud of Windsor. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Georgette Partridge of Litchfield.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of MaineGeneral Medical Center for helping Janice through her journey. A special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Wells for his compassion toward the entire family.
