Pittston- Myrna Essency, 89, passed away March 8 at Augusta Rehab. She was born September 14, 1928 in Gardiner to Edna and Winfred Nash. Myrna graduated from Gardiner High School in 1947. She was married to Joseph Essency for 60 years. They lived in Gardiner and Pittston and raised four children. Myrna was a loving homemaker and also babysat half the kids in town. She enjoyed family trips, lawn sales, church and fair activities, wrestling, NASCAR, books, movies, dolls and bears, and many friends.
Myrna is predeceased by her parents, husband Joe, brother Eldred Nash, sons Daryl and Dwight, and daughter Dianna Newcombe.
She is survived by sons David, Dan, and Deb Essency, son-in-law Fred Newcombe, grandchildren Kelly Johnson, Rick Fowler, and Ginnette Essency, great granddaughter Annora Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the staff of Augusta Rehab for taking good care of her several times over the past few years.
At her request there will be no services.
