Armand LaCroix passed away peacefully March 14, 2018 at the Comfort Care Unit at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care at Glenridge in Augusta under the care of hospice with his sisters at his side. Armand was a resident of “Capital City Manor for five years where the patients and staff could hear him use his favorite saying “whoopy ee..”
Armand was born in Augusta on March 20th, 1945 to Germain and Marguerite Mayo LaCroix.
Armand was a 1965 graduate of Cony High School. After graduation he went to work at Bates Manufacturing in Augusta, he also worked at Riverview Mental Health Institute as a custodian and janitor.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Armand is survived by a son, Steve and daughter, Lisa both of Augusta, four granddaughters, one grandson, and two great grandchildren, four sisters, Theresa Smith, Lorraaine Ladd and husband Donald of Augusta, Jeannette Gay of Weeks Mills, and Karen Rozecki of Taylor, South Carolina. Armand is predeceased by his parents, and four brother-in-laws.
He wished for no visiting hours. He will be laid to rest this spring alongside his parents at the St. Augustine Cemetery on the Townsend Rd. in Augusta.
Arrangements are under the care of Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner, and Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
