Penny (Antz) Bynum

May 15, 1955 ~ February 28, 2018 (age 62)

Penny Antz Bynum, of Farmington Maine died peacefully on February 28, 2017 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.  Penny was born in Montpelier Vermont on May 15, 1955 as a twin to her beloved brother Edwin.  Penny grew up in Gardiner Maine and graduated from Gardiner Area High School in the Class of 73.  Penny moved around the state and eventually settled in the Farmington area where she lived for many years with her beloved partner Jack Stanley. Penny has two daughters, Leah Grant of Norridgewock, and Lindsay Libby of Idaho, and has six grandchildren as well.  Penny is also survived by a brother and two sisters.  Penny enjoyed cooking, crafts, hunting, fishing, gardening, and simply conversing with people as she was quite outgoing and friendly.  Visiting hours to celebrate Penny’s life will be from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 4th at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Avenue in Gardiner Maine.  Burial ceremonies will be later in the spring /summer of this year.
