Marguerite Wyman Obituary (1931 - 2014)

On Tuesday, April 15 Marguerite Wyman passed away at the age of 82 at the home of Jerry & Tanya Sirois with her family by her side. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on November 25, 1931 to Margaret and Christopher Coro. Marguerite attended Gardiner schools. She began working at an early age at Gardiner Shoe and Truitt Brothers Shoe Shops to help support her family where she continued to work for over 25 years. She then changed careers and went to work for MSAD 11 assisting in various school kitchens and then became Cafeteria Kitchen Manager for the Pittston School where she continued to work for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her Grandson Chris Sirois who made her days a whole lot brighter, planting flowers and watching them grow, crocheting/knitting, playing her keyboard and playing games on the computer. She often joked that she could best be described as an “overseer” of projects. She loved watching her family work around the house and never hesitated to provide advice on how to complete those tasks. 25 She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Ronald Wyman; her parents Margaret & Christopher Coro, sister Elizabeth Magnus and brother Linwood Coro. She is survived by daughter, Debbie Lapointe and husband David of Davenport, Florida; son Rodney Basford and wife Debbie of Punta Gorda, FL; daughter Holly Couture and husband Gene of West Gardiner; daughter Tanya Sirois and husband Jerry of Randolph; foster-daughter Bernadette Drouin of South China; sister Joan Hayden and husband Paul of Farmingdale; brother Robert Coro of Gardiner; grandchildren Mike Palmer, Lisa Sanders, Becky Mitchell, Bryan Basford, Donna Parker, Helen Dailey, Greg Pease, Chris Sirois, Meghan Sears, Barbara Jean Drouin and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in late April/early May.
