West Gardiner - Albert C. Haskell, 80, of Mary Street, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at Maine General Hospital, surrounded by his loving wife, son, and daughter. He courageously battled Dementia and Parkinson's Disease. Born in Augusta, ME on November 7, 1944, Al was the son of the late Cecil A. and Anna Belle (Black) Haskell. He attended local schools and graduated from Cony High School. Al proudly served in the United States Navy, completing two tours in Vietnam over three years and finishing his 20-year service with the Seabees Unit in Augusta. On June 14, 1969, Al married his beloved wife, Linda Brown. Together, they shared over 55 years of marriage and raised two beautiful children. Al's work ethic was evident throughout his life. He worked various jobs, including delivering papers, small engine repair, and working with a moving company. After his Navy career, he served as a detailer at D&H Motors and as a boiler operator for the State of Maine. A man of strong faith, Al was active in his church, often taking on leadership roles. He enjoyed bible study, church events, and spending time with fellow members. Al and Linda loved vacationing in Florida, camping, and dining out. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, attending their activities, and creating lasting memories. Al was predeceased by four brothers: Ernest, Lendall (Bud), Warner, and Arnold Haskell. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Haskell; son Michael Shawn Haskell and his wife Ronda, and their children Dylan and Abigail; daughter Tavia Angeline Haskell and her children Larsson, Garrett, Ammelia, and Gabriella; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Haskell Ward of Gardiner, ME, and Beverly Haskell of Largo, FL.
