Farmingdale- Alberta Leavitt, 64, passed away unexpectedly December 11, 2017 at her home. She was born in Gardiner, the daughter of Irving and Viola Doughty. Alberta worked for many years as a cook at Hi Hat and Liberal Cup before retiring. She loved camping at Hermit Island, cooking, and her vegetable gardens. Alberta is predeceased by her husband James Leavitt and her parents. She is survived by her brothers, Gordon Doughty of West Gardiner and Irving Doughty of Winthrop. Her sons, Nathan Campbellton and his wife Darci of South China, Joshua Campbellton and his wife Valerie, grandchildren John and Jillian Campbellton of Gardiner. Stepdaughters, Ellen Severance and her husband Earl of Litchfield, Jaime Myshrall and her companion Philip of Poland, Katrina Leavitt of Florida and several grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
