WEST GARDINER - Angela L. Kokernak - Haskell, age 45, of West Gardiner, Maine, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1980, in Augusta, the daughter of Larry and Linda (Morris) Gray. Known for her kind heart and loving spirit, Angela was a valued member of her community and will be deeply missed.
Angela was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant, contributing tirelessly to the healthcare sector. She worked at Maine General for 19 years and Motivational services for 9 years. Her commitment to her work was exemplary, and she brought warmth and care to all her interactions with patients. Outside of her professional life, Angela had a plethora of interests that she pursued with passion. Angela loved to take her kids to the beach during the summers when they were young. She was an avid gardener, finding peace and tranquility among her plants. She also enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and playing the guitar, all activities that brought her immense joy and relaxation. Angela was also an excellent cook and took great pleasure in preparing meals for her loved ones. Above all else, her two dogs, Axel and Jose, and her family were what mattered most to her.
Angela is survived by her father, Larry Gray and wife Shirley, her son Ronnie Haskell, Jr., and her daughter Jenna Kokernak and granddaughter Lesley; brother Michael Gray; sister Kimberly Guerrette and husband Glen; Her close friend Valarie Audet (Ociepka) and boyfriend Matt Libbey.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Gray. Angelas was also preceded in death by her closest friends, Tasha Morang and Josh Lynch. Angela's warm spirit, love for her family, and dedication to her work will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

We will have a celebration of life at a date to be determined. There will not be a public service.
