FARMINGDALE, MAINE Burton Oliver Frazer, Jr, more recently of Stafford, VA, left this Earth to meet his Heavenly Father on May 10, 2024. Burt, lovingly known as "Boo" to many, was born in Middletown CT to Burton Oliver Frazer, Sr and Dorothy Jane (Marthins) Frazer of Hartford, CT on January 15, 1944. He grew up in Hartford and Wethersfield, CT and graduated from Buckley High School. It was during those years he found a deep love of golf, caddying with his close family and friends at Wethersfield Country Club. Following graduation, he served with the United States Marine Corps, and would often tell stories of being stationed in Puerto Rico. He married Barbara Lee (Rohde) Frazer of Rocky Hill, CT in the winter of 1965. They had four children. With a love of nature and farming, he moved his young family to a sixty-acre farm in Benton, Maine in 1972. As a Master Plumber, he became Benton's plumbing inspector for years. He continued to follow his love of agriculture and forestry during these years. "Mother Earth News Catalog" was a favorite and he professed to be as "organic" as possible his entire life. He then became employed with Cianbro Industries and traveled throughout the West and Florida for many years, settling in Stafford VA. He continued his plumbing profession, creating Potomac Pipe and Plumbing, LLC. During his residence in Stafford, he joined his church community and became "Brother Burt" to many. He enjoyed caring for others and improving their lives... his baking of his mother's Peanut Butter Squares was enjoyed by many. Burt also renewed his love of fishing, traveling around Virginia and to the Outer Banks, especially Oregon's Inlet. He loved both fresh and saltwater fishing, receiving many citations for special catches. And, his love of golf continued in his later years, as he would "challenge" his daughters and other family members for the covenanted "Family Cup"...the Cup would change hands often!!! He is predeceased by his father Burt, Sr. and mother Dorothy, as well as brother Barry, and twins Diane and Donald. He is also predeceased by his daughter Jo-Anne (Frazer) Randall. He is survived by daughters Susan Graziano of Augusta, ME, Cathleen Zajack of Moodus, CT, and son Robert Paxton Frazer of Mt Vernon, ME. He also leaves behind granddaughters Aisha Hixon of Gardiner, ME, Elora Blake and her husband Anthony "Tony" Blake of Richmond, ME, Megan Zajack of Moodus, CT, grandsons James Randall, Jr of Rocky Hill, CT, Joseph Randall of Middletown, CT and Dawson Frazer of Mt Vernon, ME. He also has three great grandchildren, Priya and Lucas Blake of Richmond, ME and James Randall, III of Rocky Hill, CT. Many extended cousins, nieces, nephews and others will continue to carry on his memories with great love, and there cannot be enough said about his close-knit Virginia family, including Bill and Georgia, Keith, Johnnie and Elise...."family" he loved dearly, and who were there for him at every turn. The family does wish to thank the staff of the Emergency Room Department and staff on 2 West at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta, ME for their compassionate care. Per Burt's wishes, no official church services or visiting hours will be held. A private military graveside service will be held at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, ME. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Lung Association, Audubon Society, or your favorite Military organization.
