Richmond- Carl Walter Rideout, Sr., 80, of Richmond passed away on Saturday July 19th at the Alfond Center for Health surrounded by his family. He was born in South Gardiner on Feb., 3, 1934 a son of Charles Sr and Katherine Lillian Maschino (McDonald )Rideout. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing with Anne and his family by his side and camping at his family favorite spot, Churchhill Stream in Jackman. He had been a woodsman all his life. He was predeceased by his father and mother, a son Michael Bronn, two brothers, Charles Jr, and Emil, and his son in law Lucky Tim Farrell. Carl is survived by his wife Ann Bronn Rideout of Richmond, his 10 children, Karlene (Kandy) Farrell of South China, Kathy Bronn and husband Raymond, Mary White and husband Joe and Susan Gaither and husband Michael, Carl Rideout, Jr and wife Pam all of Gardiner, Jeanne Grady and husband Darrly, Cliffton Bronn and wife Patty both of Whitefield, Sandra Cadwallader and husband John of Richmond, Raymond Bronn, III of Gardiner, Steve Russell of West Alna, and his adoptive son Richard Holton of China, his sister Mary Russell and husband Dale, brother Danny Rideout and wife Linda, and sister in law Dawn Boynton all of Richmond, 32 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday July 22nd from 6 to 8pm at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10am.
