RANDOLPH- Carla Elizabeth Bonefant, 57, passed suddenly Sunday, March 6, 2022. Carla was born May 22, 1964 in Augusta; daughter of the late Forest Ridley McDonald Sr. and Dariel Elizabeth (Getchell) McDonald. Carla graduated from Gardiner Area High School, class of 1982. She furthered her education attending KVCC, and for many years, Carla enjoyed her position as an Occupational Therapists' Assistant, involving herself in several local school communities, working primarily with children. Carla enjoyed photography, was an avid craftsman, loved her coffee, and never went ANYWHERE without her purse. Her greatest joy in life were her "grands", granddaughters Avery & Vivian, whom she cared for daily, for years. Her energetic, outspoken, contagious personality imprinted on her family's hearts for life. She had a huge heart and unwavering love for her children and grandchildren. Carla was truly one of a kind. "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on…" - Irving Berlin Carla is survived by her husband, Edward; son Derek Lund and his fiancé Katie Stevens of South Gardiner. Her stepson Eddie of Windsor, daughter; Alicia Lund and her domestic partner Joseph Lewis of Waldoboro, daughter; Amber Lund of South Gardiner and her significant other Kevin Stevens. Her brothers; Ronald "Mac" and John of Augusta, Steve of Florida and Ashley McDonald of New Vineyard; Her sister; Cathy Williams of South Gardiner and many cherished nieces and nephews. Carla held friendships with many dear friends over the years, she will be missed beyond measure.
