Carol Ann Perkins passed away September 3, 2010 at her home in Randolph after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 17, 1954, in Augusta, the daughter of Harold L. Norton, Jr. and Gloria L. Norton. She graduated from Cony High School and the University of Maine, Augusta with a degree in Real Estate. She worked at a variety of jobs including a med-tech at Graybirch, an agent at Small and Berry, and ending her career as a store manager for Irving, working in Augusta, Wiscassett and Gardiner. She loved visiting her grandchildren, music and dancing, traveling with family, camping and playing horseshoes, writing poems and decorating cakes for family events, hosting Halloween and Christmas parties with elaborate decorations, participating in the couples bowling league and collecting thousands of sets of salt and pepper shakers. She was a member of the Whitefield Lions Club. She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her family including her husband of 40 years, Matthew Perkins, daughter Cathy Perkins of Randolph; son Matthew Perkins, Jr. and wife Suzanne of Milan, NH; grandchildren Amber and Matthew III of Waterford, VT; sisters Gloria MaComber of New Bedford, MA; Dawn Magee of Skowhegan; Susan Furlong and husband James of Hartland; Dianna Lerette of Randolph; brothers Harold L. Norton, III and wife Jeannie of Pittston; Raymond Norton of Michigan; Michael Norton of Randolph; several nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends Al and Shirley Wing of Auburn; and Brett and Becky Loehr of Waterford, VT.
