1960 - 2021 AUGUSTA - Cheryl Ann Lavigne, 60, of Augusta, died unexpectedly on July 4th, 2021. Cheryl was born in Massachusetts, and moved with her family to Maine as a teenager, growing up and graduating from Winthrop. She was the first child of Nelson and Elisabeth Lavigne. Her parents had six other children over the years. Cheryl loved her family more than anything and loved good music and dancing. Her proudest moment was when her two grandchildren were born. She was predeceased by her parents, Nelson Sr. and Elisabeth Lavigne, and brother, Kenneth Lavigne. Cheryl is survived by her son, Danny Lavigne and wife Anna, and her grandchildren Easton and Ellie; sisters, Kathleen Ayer and husband David, Judith Denham and husband Jim; brothers, Nelson Jr. and wife Sherry, David and wife Penny, and Neil and wife Raquel. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews - who she held dear to her heart. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that support be given to the Winthrop or Augusta food banks. A private, family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
