AUGUSTA – Cheryl Ann Stratton, 66, of Augusta passed away unexpectedly on May 15, 2024, at Maine Medical Center in Portland surrounded by her immediate family. Cheryl was born in Augusta, Maine on March 2, 1958, the daughter of Roland and Frances (Lothrop) Stratton. Cheryl worked several years as a custodian worker for the State of Maine. She loved watching the birds and the snow fall, she enjoyed listening to the rain as well. Cheryl enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing bingo Tuesdays and Fridays with residents of the Cony Flatiron where she lived. Cheryl most enjoyed going out dancing to Crystal Falls in Chelsea with her daughter Melissa. Cheryl will be very missed by all that knew her. She was a kind, sweet, loving, caring woman who would give the shirt off her back to a stranger but boy was she a stubborn one for sure. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents, her husband Terry Adams of Augusta, and grandson Jacob Wilson of Turner. Cheryl is survived by daughter Melissa Stratton of Augusta and her four boys Steven, Tyler and Dustin Wilson of Augusta and Corey Wilson of Auburn, son Reginald Stratton of Augusta and his two girls Hailey and Chloey Stratton of West Gardiner. Several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cheryl's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 8th, at noontime, at the American Legion Post 205, 396 Eastern Ave. Augusta, Maine.
