RICHMOND – Daniel Arthur Rideout, 74, of Richmond, died unexpectedly at home while watching NASCAR on Sunday, April 22, 2024, with his wife by his side. Born in Rumford, Maine on March 22, 1950, the son of Charles and Katherine (Maschino) Rideout and Chester and Edna (Collins) Rideout. Danny was educated in the Richmond school system. His first job was at Gardiner shoe. He worked many years for DeCosta egg farms and ended his working career with New Meadows Abatement. Danny married the love of his life Linda in West Gardiner on September 21st, 1974. Together they built a loving family in Richmond on the Marston Road surrounded by family. Danny was passionate about The Boston Red Sox, Ford Automobiles, NASCAR Racing, Trivia, Presidential and State facts and being a Papa. He was predeceased by his parents; His Mother and Father-in-Law Llewellyn and Violet Larrabee, His Brothers Emil, Carl, Charles, and Chester. His Sisters Mary, Flora, Beverly, and Roxanne. Danny is survived by his wife Linda (Larrabee) Rideout; his children Danielle and Brian Roderick, Holly and Mike Moloney and Len and Laura Larrabee. His Grandchildren Brooke and Brett Moloney and Harris Plaisted. His forever loyal companion Zeek. Danny had many loving siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Anyone who met Danny instantly fell in love with his generous heart and warm spirit. Danny's visiting hours will be from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday, April 25th, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, where a funeral will be held at 10 am Friday, April 26, burial will follow at the Fairbanks Cemetery, West Gardiner.
