FARMINGDALE- David S. Tripp, 78, passed away at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in Lewiston on July 6, 1946, to the late Carl Stewart and Marjorie Evelyn (Cross) Tripp.
David graduated from Edward Little High School and went on to trade school before being employed by Maine DOT for 39 years. In November of 1968, he was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served during Vietnam.
In his free time, David enjoyed time spent in the woods, deer hunting. As well as target shooting and golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Donna who he married Dec.22,1968, sons, Jeremy and wife Kristen Tripp of Augusta, and David W. Tripp of Glenside, Pa. His grandchildren, Liam and Elizabeth Tripp and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by his brother Carlton Tripp.
David's graveside service will be held on Monday, October 28 at 1PM at the OLD Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Committal Shelter, 143 Blue Star Ave. Augusta. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. There will be a gathering at Jeremys after the services.
