LEWISTON – Dennis M. Farnsworth, 75, of Lewiston, died December 12th, 2022 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn with loved ones by his side.
Born in Waterville, Maine on October 16th, 1947, Dennis was the son of John and Estelle (Savage) Farnsworth. He graduated from Winthrop High School. He went on to join the army and proudly serve his country. After that he moved to Readfield Maine and started a family. He had numerous jobs, but none could compare to him being a bus driver. Dennis loved driving the kids around hearing them laugh. He prided himself in getting the kids safely to school. His favorite part was getting to take his grandkids to school on the bus.
Dennis was a family man always planning cookouts and making sure everyone had the best time. He loved lobster and made sure to make his lobster cookout a family affair every year. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Dennis left behind many great memories that won't be forgotten. He will be missed dearly.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents John and Estelle, ex-wives Janet (Dyer) Farnsworth, Marjorie (Stanard) Farnsworth, and Agnes Farnswoth , his grandson Micheal Scott Buck Jr. and his step-Daughter, Robin.
Dennis is survived by his 5 children Denise, Dennis, Jennifer, Joellynn and Jonathan, his son in law Dan, two daughter in laws Anggie and Tammy, lots of grandkids Jasmine, Matthew, Jacob, Jeremiah, Scotty, Sophiea, Lydia, Angelique, Derek, Keithy, Dominick, Isaiah, Lillian, Janet, Christian, Brayden, Liam, Mickel, Cole, Brandon, Damian, Eugene, Fletcher, Austin, Gabriel, Mikell, Tracy, Natasha and Montanna, great-grandchildren Hunter, Noah, Jaxson, Alice, Lylah, Richard, Janet, Ellie, Quinn, Simon, Ellen, Taralyn, Zyick, and Zaden, and six step-children George, Marlene, Quinn, Lydia, Denise and Vicki.
Dennis’ visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 17, from 10:00 am to noontime, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner. A private family military graveside service will be held at a later date.
