Augusta-Donald Franklin Upson, 54, died unexpectedly at the Maine Medical Center in Portland on Friday, December 1, 2017. He was born in Gardiner on May 31, 1963 a son of Robert Lee Upson and Shirley Ziegel. He was a US Army veteran. He was a self-employed floorer. Don enjoyed spending time with his daughters. He enjoyed the outdoors, boating, fishing, and four wheeling. He enjoyed most anything. He is survived by his son Kenny Upson of Augusta, two daughters, Monica and Marissa Upson of Augusta, his brother Dana Lee Upson of Farmingdale, Denese Woodcock of Randolph, granddaughter Janessa Upson, nieces Megan Woodcock and Stephanie Fuller. Celebration of Life will be held Thursday from 1 to 3pm at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave Gardiner.
