Gardiner --- Dorothy M. Burl, 85, of Gardiner died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Nursing care Facility at Gray Birch in Augusta. She was a daughter of Bernard and Harriet Bishop from Milford, NH. They later moved to St. Petersburg, FL. Dorothy moved to Florida to care for her parents. She was married three times. She married the late Verner Dufault of Portland, ME, later married the late Leland Sanders from Hadley, MA and the late Kenneth Burl from Manchester, NH.Dorothy had many jobs over the years. Her last 10 years she worked for Home Care Services in Winterhaven and Clearwater, FL., as a PCA until she moved back to Maine in 1996 to retire.She leaves 7 children: Douglas Burl of Chelsea, Frances Prater and husband Jerry of Ripley, Tenn, Beverly Cale and husband Jim of Forest Proof, FL, Verner Dufault of South China, Nancy Thompson and husband Jim of Mesa, Arizona, Sharon McPherson and husband Scott of Hallowell and Lee Burl of West Palm Beach, FL, a sister, Shirley Walker and husband John of Perump, Arizona, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren several nieces, nephews and cousins.
