Litchfield-Edward H. (Ted) Stevens, Jr. age 84 of Litchfield, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston . He was born July 26, 1938 in Gardiner, the son of Edward Sr. And Carrie Buker Stevens.

He attended Litchfield schools and graduated from Litchfield Academy in 1958. He worked in construction for Wyman Simpson and married Mary Ann Maxim on June 4, 1966 in Litchfield. He later worked William S Williams Construction and then Ferraiolo Construction.

He enjoyed working in the garden, cutting wood, going to the Litchfield Fair, and socializing with his many friends in the area. He was a long-time director for the board of the Litchfield Plains Cemetery Association.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters Margaret Eaton and Ethel Tower, and his brother Albert (Buster) Stevens.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Litchfield, son Edward H. Stevens III of Litchfield, sister Mary Dunlap of Litchfield, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. There will be a graveside service at Litchfield Plains Cemetery in the spring.
