Eileen Frances Hallett (Horak) 75 of Highland Ave. Gardiner went on to be with her loved deceased family on August 9, 2015. She passed quietly with family around her bed side after a long illness. She was born in Queens New York on November 17, 1939. She was the 2nd of 8 children born to Edward and Veronica Horak of Patchogue New York. Eileen attended St. Francis De Sales catholic schools in Patchogue. It was on Long Island where she met and married Maitland (Pete) Hallett. They went on to raise 3 children. Eileen had a great love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was predeceased by her husband Pete, her parents Edward and Veronica Horak and her brothers Edward, Gregory, and Raymond Horak.She is survived by her daughter Judy Weeks of Brunswick. Her sons Maitland (Peter) and wife Laura of Pittston, and Charles and wife Julie of Gardiner, her 4 sisters Veronica Sawyer of Gardiner, Bernadette Guiffreda of East Patchogue New York, Liz Horak of Phoenix Arizona, and Deborah LaFemina of Patchogue New York, her 6 grandchildren; Julie Reese, Jessica Arsenault, Joshua, Kayla, Logan, and Nicole Hallett, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, also 2 special caregivers Krissy Kenney and Denise ONeil. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10am at St. Joseph Church in Gardiner.
