1934-2023 Litchfield- Eleanor "Jean" Perry, 88, of Litchfield, died peacefully at home with loved ones by her side on Monday, February 6, 2023. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 17, 1934, the daughter of Guy and Eva (Lyman) Snyder. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Jean spent most of her life living in Litchfield. She attended Litchfield Academy, where she met the love of her life, Roxy. She worked for a short while at Harriman & Black's in Gardiner, then at a number of dry cleaners in the Augusta area, from which she was one of the first people to receive a Boiler's license in the State of Maine. She loved the coast of Maine, taking many trips there with her husband and family over the years. She also loved to travel. She was able to visit every state in the continental United States and spent many years enjoying Florida. She had many hobbies: she loved attending music festivals, embroidery, working with Roxy from sawing lumber to building houses. She especially loved family gatherings and spending time with all of their friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Guy and Eva Snyder. Siblings and their spouses: Raymond and Ruth Snyder; Dorothy and Ralph Sherman; Marjorie and Wesley Ellis; Glen Snyder; Mary and Elmer Ames. Eleanor (Jean) is survived by her husband of 70 years, Roxy Perry of Litchfield; Daughter, Linda and her husband Bruce Pelkey of Litchfield, Son, Mark and his wife Susan Perry of Litchfield, Grandchildren: Belinda Blanchard and husband Shawn; Randy Pelkey and wife Stephanie; Joshua Perry and partner Molly Ladd; Ethan Perry and partner Abigale Pelletier. Great grandchildren; Samantha Blanchard, Justice Pelkey, Quentin Pelkey, Sabrina Pelkey and Alexis Pelkey. Many nieces, nephews and her very supportive friends who kept her company.
