1934 - 2021

AUGUSTA - Elizabeth R. Jenec, 86, of Augusta, Maine and formally of Bath, Maine. Died Thursday April 1, 2021 at the Mainegeneral Rehab & LTC at Glenridge.

She was born in Bath, Maine on August 3, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Gallant) Jenec.

Betty enjoyed spending time at the WT Twaroug Center in Aurburn, Maine where she did ceramics, paintings, fishing trips, bowling and she especially enjoyed seeing Mariann Bonang and Elaine Terenzone.

She was predeceased by her parents, and brother Joseph Jenec.

Betty is survived by her sister-in-law, Jackie McKee-Jenec, of Pittston; two brothers, Edward Jenec and wife Barbara, of East Hartford, Ct., David Jenec, of Bath; two nieces, Marion Jenec Cressey, Karen Jenec Hanson; Nephew, Peter Thayer; niece, Melissa Vallieres; two great nephews, Isaac and Eli Vallieres; special cousin, Kathie Dressman, and a caring friend, Cynthia Cushing.

The family would like to thank the staff at MaineGeneral Rehab & LTC at Glenridge and Becon Hospice.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 6 from 1 - 3 PM at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, where a private family funeral will follow. Following the guidelines set forth by the State of Maine and the CDC face masks and social distancing will be required. Burial will take place at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
