Gardiner- Erica M. Campbell, 63, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the home of her twin sister, where she was enveloped in love during her final moments.
Erica was born on February 16, 1962, in Warwick, Rhode Island to the late John F. Snow, Sr. and Emily A. Gibbs. Erica lived a life filled with love, care, and a strength that shaped those around her in ways both subtle and profound.
Erica devoted over forty years to the healing profession of nursing, driven by an enduring passion to care for others in their time of need. Her work at Maine Medical Center, Maine General Hospital, and as a traveling nurse is warmly remembered by both colleagues and patients alike. She had a unique ability to offer comfort through her gentle smile and calming presence, no matter where her journey took her. Beyond her nursing career, Erica proudly served her country as a Captain in the United States Army.
In her personal life, Erica found peace and joy in nature's embrace. Whether camping, fishing, or simply spending time by the ocean, lakes, mountains, or in the woods, she found a deep connection to the outdoors. At home, her vegetable and flower gardens flourished under her attentive care. Erica also took great pleasure in cooking, always ensuring her loved ones were well-fed, and no one ever left her home without a full heart—and stomach.
