1969 - 2024 Augusta - Frederick E. Penn, 54 of Augusta and formerly from Whitefield, gained his wings January 1, 2024, after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Fred was born in Augusta, Maine on September 20, 1969, to Spencer R. Penn, Jr., and Vera Anderson. Fred worked multiple jobs at Walmart, Dead River, Glenridge, as well as working with Frankie French, roofing, and painting. Family was always very important to Fred. He also loved his sports. Fred is survived by his three children Amy Carter and husband Travis, Alishia Penn, Colton Penn; his mother Vera Anderson; four siblings, Wayne Jackson and fiancé Ashley, Carla Thornton and husband Tom, William Penn, and Spencer Penn, and also survived by his partner of seven years, Sabrina Crocker, and their dog Bella; his best friends Jessica Buzzell, Esther York-Taylor, Norman Reynolds; his extended children Dominique Duplin and partner Mathieu and their sons Weston and Brandon Duplin and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Spencer R. Penn, Jr. There will be a Celebration of Life at his family's house at a later date.
