1957 – 2023

FARMINGDALE – Gary John Markham, 65, of Farmingdale died unexpectedly Monday, January 23, 2023 at his home. He was born in Augusta, Maine on February 27, 1957, the son of William and Betty (King) Markham.

Attended schools in Farmingdale, graduating from Halldale HS in class of 1975.

He worked at Snow’s Tire and Key Bank for many years and was self- employed as a sawyer with his portable saw mill, before retiring.

Gary loved to go camping and to fish, use his tractor around the property, go to the fairs in the summer and spend time with his grandsons.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife Cynthia Markham; son Jonathon Markham and his wife Kasey of West Gardiner, two grandsons Jamison and Kingsley, brother Tim Markham of PA; sister Ruth Tweedy of AZ ; nieces Emily and Jessica and nephew Dylan.

Gary’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 30, from 1-2pm, with words of remembrance at 2pm, at staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner.
