Obituary

Woolwich – Henry Hodgdon, 82 of Woolwich passed away June 8th, 2024, at Midcoast hospital. Henry was born in Woolwich on July 19th, 1941, to Pearly and Shirley Hodgdon. Henry grew up in the Midcoast Maine area. His childhood was spent being wild and free. His teen years were work and friends, raising cane, building cars, and then racing them. Henry made many lifelong friends from his youth that he had until the end. Henry was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and ATV riding. Henry also enjoyed working on automobiles and generally just tinkering. Henry could often be found at the racetrack in the pits working on the stock car. Henry enjoyed visiting with his dearest friends and family- from cookouts to coffee dates. Henry also had passion for watching the Red Sox, a pastime he got from his mother Shirley. A long ride to have a look around was always in order. There wasn't a back road to "up country" he didn't know. Henry was predeceased by his parents Pearly and Shirley, His loving wife Joyce, two sisters, Nancy Malcolm and her husband Warren and Barbara Stacey and her husband Michael. Henry is survived by his brother Roger Hodgdon and his wife Verna of Troy, his children Lorri Robson of Woolwich, Theresa Levesque and her husband Alton of North Carolina, Amy Donaldson of Brunswick, Swanton Robson of Woolwich, Shawn O'Leary and his wife Kim of Washington, Jason O'Leary and his wife Stephanie of Bowdoin, and Jennifer O'Leary and her partner Chris of Topsham. His Grandchildren Coady Robson and his wife Nicolette, Morgan Robson and his wife Tenlee, Garrett Robson and his fiancé Sarah, Alec Arsenault-Robson and his fiancé Allison, Sabrina Levesque, Kolby Levesque, Caleb Donaldson and his fiancé Bee, Shane O'Leary and his wife Morgan, Joshua O'Leary, Kaprice O'Leary, Cameron Johnson, Caden Hanscom. His Great-grandchildren Maddie Delano and Piper Delano-Robson. Henry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. In Lou of flowers, please make any donations to the heart association. A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion in Bath Maine on June 20th from 3-6pm.
