Janice Marie Vigue Gould, 76, of Randolph, Maine passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Janice was born on November 5, 1938 in Gardiner, Maine, the daughter of Doris and Edward Vigue. She grew up in Randolph, attending Randolph Grammar School before graduating from Gardiner Area High School in 1957. Upon high school graduation she was employed by Central Maine Power Company and Margaret Smiths before retiring from the State of Maines Department of Motor Vehicles after 25 years of service. On June 10, 1961 she married her high school sweetheart, Richard K. Gould, the love of her life. Together they raised three children and enjoyed attending their various dancing and sporting events while they grew up. She then became a devoted grandparent, attending their own extracurricular events and spending time with them by the pool or on the lake. And anyone who knew Janice knew she loved to shop, especially with her sister-in-law Rosalie. Janice was predeceased by her parents, husband of 33 years and brother, Ronald P. Vigue. Survivors include, her three children, Laurie Gould Clary, Terrence and his wife Karen Gould and Linda and her husband Chad Kempton. She is also survived by her brother, Richard and his wife Rebecca Vigue, sisters-in-law Rosalie Vigue and Judy Rogers and her five grandchildren, Gregory Clary, Sarah and Katherine Gould, Maria and Nadia Kempton. In addition, she is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, not to mention her 21-year-old cat, Simba, who was with her when she died. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 4 to 7pm at Staples Funeral Home 53 BrunswickAve Gardiner. A Funeral service will be held Thursday Sept 10th at 4pm at the Randolph United Methodist Church 16 Asbury St Randolph Memorial contributions may be made in Janices name to the Kennebec Valley Humane Society at 10 Pet Haven Lane, Augusta, ME and P.A.L.S. animal shelter at 188 Case Rd, Winthrop, ME.
