RANDOLPH - Jayson J. E. Carver, 54, of Randolph, Maine, formerly of Wayne, Maine, and known for his unwavering dedication and love for the outdoors, peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

He was born on July 5, 1972, in Augusta, Maine. Jayson graduated from Maranacook Community High School and spent four years furthering his education at the University of Maine in Orono. He was a lifelong resident of Maine, deeply connected to its natural beauty. His spirit was as vast and as free as the landscapes he cherished.

Jayson was a "hell of a worker," a description that perfectly encapsulates his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He dedicated his career as a laborer in the construction industry, where his skill and diligence were always evident. Beyond his professional life, Jayson found immense joy in simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment by the water. His love for skiing and the great outdoors was profound, and he held a special affection for Carrabassett Valley and the cherished family camp, places where he made countless memories.

He was predeceased by his father James Carver.

Jayson was survived by his mother Karen Paige and his stepfather William, and his cherished nephew Jared Carver.

At Jayson’s request there will not be a service; his ashes will be spread by family in Carrabassett Valley while listening to his favorite song, “Simple Man”

He will be remembered for his strong hands, his generous spirit, and his deep appreciation for the natural world. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. Jayson lived and died according to his own rules.
