Talbot

Obituary

1978 – 2022 CHELSEA - Jessica Noelle Talbot was a Maine girl all her life. She was lovingly brought into the world at home in Machiasport, Maine on April 16, 1978, and passed away on November 18, 2022, at her own home in Chelsea, Maine. Between that time, she had 44 years to live a life that turned out to be very fulfilling. She grew up in East Machias and had a passion for horses. She owned a Morgan mare and became an excellent rider. Many mornings she and her mother, Shelagh G. Talbot sat on bales of hay with steaming cups of cocoa while her horse munched hay close by. During high school at Washington Academy in East Machias, she was an honor student as well as a passionate volleyball and soft ball player. She was a credit to both those teams. Before she died, she was on the Dean's List at the University of Maine in Augusta, planning to be a therapist working with people struggling with opioid addiction – she would have graduated with an associate degree in the spring of 2023. In addition to school, she had a passion for doing nails and was a Certified Nail Tech with the state of Maine. She loved doing nails and considered it an art form – which it was. She loved people and would do whatever she could to help others and cheer them up. She had a wonderful sense of humor as well as a loving and selfless heart. Jessica left this planet way too soon. She was predeceased by her father James R. Talbot III, her half-sister Rebecca Jane Levin, and her grandparents William and Rebecca Talbot of East Machias. Jessica is survived by her mother Shelagh G. Talbot of Greenville Junction, Maine, and her significant other Marcel DeLorme, of Chelsea, as well as her faithful dog Monroe. A celebration of life will occur at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted with Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the Staples Funeral Home website, www.staplesfuneralhome.com
