1951 - 2023 AUGUSTA - Joseph R. Morse 71 of Augusta, passed away January 11th, 2023, surrounded by family and friends at Gray Birch Rehabilitation Center. Joseph was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts on November 9, 1951. He was born to Theresa H. Labbe and Joseph E. Morse. Joseph married Beverly J. French on July 2, 1995, and they lived in Gardiner, Maine for many years. He was predeceased by his parents; wife Beverly; two sisters, Pauline Parker and Nancy Doray; niece Theresa "Terry" Morse, and close friends David Dudley and Jay Martin. Surviving him are his two daughters Doreen French and fiancé Bruce Gervais of Augusta, Melissa Morse of Ohio; son Michael Morse of Beaver Falls, PA; sister Christine Morse Horvath of Nevada; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two nephews Joey Doray and Greg Parker; niece Kelly Massengale; he was also survived by a few very close friends Eugene Lapan, Michelle Miles-Pruitt and Jeffrey Pruitt. The family would like to thank all the staff at Gray Birch for the wonderful care they gave Joseph during his stay there, and thanks to MaineGeneral Hospice for the wonderful care and help they gave Joseph during his last few months.
