CHELSEA - June M. Bisbee, 93, of Chelsea, died Monday, June 15, 2026, at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & LTC at Glenridge.
She was born on March 9, 1933, in Weeks Mills, ME, USA, and longtime resident of Chelsea, Maine. June was a dedicated mother, a loving grandmother, and a compassionate friend to many. Her thoughtful nature and dedication to her family were the cornerstones of her life.
June was a homemaker by trade, taking pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment for her loved ones. She was known for her unique and infectious laugh that would put a smile on everyone’s face, and weekly family dinners at different restaurants. In her leisure time, June enjoyed puzzles and games especially Scrabble and very skilled at it, gardening, baking, and was known for her beloved no-baked peanut butter cookies, that everyone would ask her to make them, taking long walks in the beautiful Maine outdoors and read the bible often. These hobbies were more than just pastimes; they were a testament to her thoughtful and nurturing spirit. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, often placing their needs before her own. She was a pillar of strength, love, and compassion for all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
June was preceded in death by her parent George and Lilla (Norton) Witham, and her loving husband, Stanley Bisbee; two children Cindy and Keith Bisbee who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her grandson, Casey Bisbee, who formed an unbreakable bond and tackled life together over the last decade.
June's life will be celebrated at a graveside service on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Central Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery located at 143 Blue Star Avenue, Augusta, Maine.
