Obituary

1961 - 2021 PITTSTON - Kathy Lee Tisdale, 59, of Pittston, Maine, died on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the St. Mary's d'Youville Pavilion in Lewiston, after a long illness with her family by her side. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on August 3, 1961, the daughter of Roy and Evelyn (Branch) Goudreau. Kathy attended Gardiner Area High School and graduated in 1980 and married her high school sweetheart Charles, on October 4, 1980. She then became a CNA at local nursing homes and after becoming pregnant, she became a homemaker. Being an Air Force wife she traveled wherever her husband was stationed and after his retirement, her and her husband moved back to Maine. Kathy love listen to music and would travel to see Friend's of the King wherever they preformed. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Gardiner and the B.L.O.C.K.S Group. Kathy was a member of Scouts, holding multiple leadership positions such as, Tiger Den Leader, Den Leader, Cub Master, and a Summer Day Camp Director. Worked at the Gear Parent Network as a consultant and volunteered on the Governor's Console for Mental Health and helped rewrite the rules and guidelines for case management. Kathy was invited to attend the National Governors Convention in 2006, where her guidelines were adopted by multiple states. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents. Kathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charle H. Tisdale, Sr., of Pittston; three sons, Edwin Tisdale, of Oklahoma, Charles H. Tisdale, Jr., of Pittston and Roy Tisdale, of Augusta; daughter Bernetta Tisdale, of Augusta; sister, Tammy Trask, of Randolph; 10 grandchildren and several step grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 17th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner. A memorial service announcement will be posted on the funeral home and the First Baptist Church's website and Facebook pages.
