Obituary

Portland-Keith F. Webster, 52, of Racine Ave. died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Maine Medical Center as the result of a medical event.

Keith was born in Portland, Maine on June 30, 1973, the son of Bryant P. and Judith A. (Herbert) Webster. He attended local schools and graduated from Portland High School in the class of 1991. He continued his education at Southern Maine Community College in Marine Sciences.

Keith had a great love for spending time on the ocean, especially his beloved Casco Bay. For several years he lived on his boat “Reel Fine” at the Dimillo’s Marina. Keith worked many years as an Emergency Response Technician for Republic Services, responding to any Marine related accident in and around Casco Bay.

In his spare time, Keith enjoyed kayaking, fishing, camping, and spending time on any of the island's in Casco Bay. He had a great love of animals, especially dogs, always willing to give a stray animal a home. He loved music, playing guitar, drums or just spending time jamming with friends. He published his own book about a kid growing up in the city of Portland, “The Ballard of Patrick Phinney” He loved life and lived it to the fullest every day.

Keith was predeceased by his father, Bryant P. Webster; a brother, Marc Webster. He is survived by his mother, Judith A. Webster of Portland; a daughter, Ashley Webster of Westbrook; a son, Devin Klym of NC; a brother, Christopher Webster of Portland; a special niece, Tenzin Webster of Portland; many cousins and special friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 10:00am at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal Street, Portland, ME. Arrangements are under the direction of Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave, Gardiner, ME.
