KENNETH ALAN DAY, JR.
TAURUS: MAY 3, 1961- April 20, 2025
Ken Day arrived on this earthly plain with his hoofs firmly planted in the ground. Since that day, May 3, 1961, he has breathed, lived and embodied the true Taurus personality. "Firmly grounded" best describes Ken.
From the small town of Skowhegan, Maine, he matured into a gentleman embracing the finer things in life: art, music, food, and enduring friendships.
Living most of his sales executive years in Boston and San Francisco, Ken never lost touch with his Maine roots where he returned to reside in 2014, In Dresden, Maine where he cultivated a food producing organic garden, created a heartwarming, inviting gentleman's home, and treated family and friends to his extraordinary cooking and baking skills. All who knew him, celebrated sitting around his harvest table.
Ken was a hunter of people he found interesting, a patron of the arts, a high energy outdoors lover, self-taught fine cuisine chef, accomplished baker, and lifelong learner. He was a modern-day renaissance man who continued to learn and evolve until his final breath.
The earthly plain has lost a fine gentleman who treated everyone who crossed his path with compassion, kindness and respect.
