1928 - 2021

AUGUSTA - Lois F. Bickford, 93, of Augusta, Maine, died Friday, April 2, 2021, at the Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation with her family by her side.

She was born in China, Maine on February 29, 1928, the daughter of Arthur and Isabel (Pierce) Farrington. she graduated from Erskine Academy in 1947 and married Archie Bickford in 1951. They had 2 children, Cindy and Daniel.

She held a variety of jobs over her life, retiring from Kennebec Savings Bank.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Archie R. Bickford, sisters Carmen Stowe and Beverly Rodrique, daughter, Cindy Moulton and long-time companion Ray Bernier.

Lois is survived by her son, Daniel Bickford and wife Christa, of West Gardiner; granddaughters Shazia, Melissa and Isabel, great-granddaughters Sabrina, Jasmin, Aliah, Haileigh and great-grandsons Cody and Grady, and great-great grandchildren Keely, Kenzie, Quinn and Zaryn.

A private family graveside service will be held beside her husband at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Augusta. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
