Obituary

LITCHFIELD - With a heart as big as her sense of humor, Lucille P. Wilson, known affectionately by her friends and family as Lucie, graced the world with her spirited presence from her birth in Farmington, ME on February 22, 1951, until her recent passing on April 14, 2025. Lucie's contagious laughter and zest for life made every room she entered a little brighter. Her loving nature was as unmissable as her unique sense of humor. She had an uncanny way of finding the funny side of life, even in the most challenging circumstances. A creative soul, Lucille was a retired Pharmacy Tech who found joy in needlepoint and gardening. She had the magical touch of making any space feel like home, whether it was her birthplace in Farmington, her residence in Litchfield, or during her time in Pittston, Maine. Lucie's true passion, however, was her family and her pets. Her love for them was as vibrant and lively as her personality. She was the beloved wife of David Wilson, who will continue to honor her legacy. Lucie was preceded in death by her parents, Priscilla and Philip Pillsbury. Their love and values live on in Lucie's loving spirit, her funny anecdotes, and her spirited outlook. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her and will be deeply missed. Lucie was also predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Paul Pillsbury. Lucie is survived by her husband, David, two sons, Adam Wilson and wife Alicia, of Standish, Eric Wilson, of Portland, and her daughter Sara Parkin, and husband BJ, of West Gardiner, five grandchildren, Wyatt, Grant and Logan Parkin, of West Gardiner and Eva and Tobin Wilson, of Standish, her siblings, Louise Pillsbury, of Randolph, Linda Jellison, of Wilton, Laura Neal, of Vienna and Floyd Pillsbury, of Vienna and several cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Lucille's life will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 12:00pm to 4:00 pm, at 10 Cold Creek Drive, West Gardiner, Maine. It is bound to be as loving, spirited, creative, and funny as Lucie was herself. Please honor her memory by sharing your favorite stories and photos of Lucie on her memorial page at www.staplesfuneralhome.com Her family welcomes all to join them in celebrating her vibrant life. Remember Lucie, as she was, a spark of joy and love in our lives. Let us remember her laugh, her love for her family, and her pets, and let us keep her spirit alive in our hearts. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine.
