Whitefield- Luke Wesley Harmon, 47, of Whitefield, Maine, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12th, 2026. Luke was born to Taylor and Elizabeth Harmon on November 21, 1978. He attended Whitefield Elementary School and Cony High School where he became interested in architecture, and he then furthered that interest at UMA.

Luke was employed by G&E Roofing, and Rocky’s Stove Shop before finding his passion as a self-employed handyman. He particularly loved his two greyhound dogs, Samson and Delilah, who brought him much joy. A recent highlight this summer was to attend the Tobin family reunion at which he reconnected with many of his relatives and Rowan’s adventures in the fountain.

Luke moved to Belgrade and lived in a cabin in the woods where he enjoyed being self-sufficient.  There, sitting around his campfire surrounded by the peace of nature he so loved, it helped distract him from his MS which he battled with much of his life.

He is predeceased by his father Taylor Harmon. He is survived by his mother Libby Harmon, brothers Ben Harmon and Jay Harmon, sister Roxanne Carter, children Tyler Haase and Lillian Michaud, granddaughter Rowan Haase, and ex-wife Lesley Smith. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives behind.
