1944 -2023
RANDOLPH - Lynda Muriel (Rhoades) Bailey, 77, went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2023.
Lynda was pre-deceased by her son James Buotte; great- grandson Jacob Seigars; two brothers Roland Rhoades and Jack Rhoades.
Lynda is survived by her son Frank Bailey and wife Marianne of Farmingdale; Daughter Marcella Bailey of Randolph, who cared for her in her later years; Steve and Alice Bailey; grandchildren, Heather (Buotte) Seigars, Jason Buotte and wife Sheree, Cheryl (Buotte) Criniti, Andy Gregiore, and Allen Bashaw; Great-grandchildren Shawn Seigars, Alexis Buotte, Darien and Bryce Criniti, Caylie Buotte, Jadynn Wilkins, and Cody Buotte, and many nieces and nephews.
Lynda had worked in a local bank, and for the Maine Department of Marine Resources. She owned and operated Bailey's Bird's and was part of the Maine State Caged Bird Society. She enjoyed relaxing at her camp on Aziscohos Lake with family and friends. Lynda loved the Lord. She was a member of Winter Street Baptist Church in Gardiner where she was involved with Missions and the Ladies' Missionary Society where they knitted blankets for nursing home residents. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing cards, reading, and gardening. Lynda was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a wonderful Mother and caring and doting Grandmother; she will be missed tremendously.
The family would like to thank all the healthcare providers involved with Lynda's care throughout the past year and half.
Lynda's visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 12th, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, In Gardiner. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13th, at 11:00 am at the Winter Street Baptist Church, 32 Winter Street, in Gardiner, burial will follow in the Rhoades lot at Maine Avenue Cemetery, in Farmingdale, with a reception to follow back at the church.
