1925 -2022

PITTSTON - Marcia Farrar Troop, 96, of Pittston, died Friday, July 29th, 2022, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.

She was born in Readfield, Maine on November 20, 1925, the daughter of George and Ethel (Bucklin) Farrar.

Harold and Marcia established Troop’s Variety Store in Pittston in 1963, and operated the business until 1977. Marcia was a member of the local Eastern Star.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Harold Troop; four brothers, and three sisters.

Marcia is survived two children, Nancy and Harold “John” Troop; a beloved sister-in-law, Beverly Troop; numerous nieces and nephews.

At Marica’s request there will be no services and she will be buried beside her husband at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Randolph.
