Obituary

AUGUSTA – Marian L. LeBourdais, 84, of Augusta, Maine died Tuesday, June 29th, 2021, at Augusta Rehabilitation after a long illness. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on November 4th, 1936, the daughter of Harold and Marian (Gordon) Shaw. She graduated from Hall-Dale Highschool in 1955 and studied Business at Community College. She worked for CMP for many years and was most proud of her work with computers and teaching. She raised two sons with her husband of 54 years, George A. LeBourdais, primarily in Hallowell in the same area she grew up in on Granite Hill. They enjoyed many years of camping at The Birches. They retired to Zephyrhills, FL in 1996. She moved back to Maine in 2012 shortly after George's death. She deeply missed her friends and neighbors at Kennebec Plaza and Woodlands Assisted Living, and dear friends Hook and Catherine Cooper of FL. She loved her family, all things purple, colored lights, jewelry, flowers, animals, light houses, pickles, and her special relationship with her niece, Brenda. She spent the last few years enjoying a new passion for coloring. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brothers Rick and Harold. She is survived by her son Dennis and fiancé, Janene; son George and his children James and Baylee; niece Brenda and spouse, Ray; brother Richard and spouse, Janet; brother Frank; brother Leon and spouse, Phyllis; sister-in-law Jesse; and several nieces and nephews and their families. Fulfilling her wishes there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are entrusted with Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine.
