It is with great sorrow and much love that we announce the loss of Mark E. Barton, 63, of Windsor, ME on February 15, 2025. Mark fought a courageous three-year long battle with pancreatic cancer; a true testament to the warrior of a human he was.
Mark was born on March 5th, 1961. His love of family was instilled young as one of six children born to Stephen D. Barton and Evelyn G. (Moore).
Those who knew Mark will remember him for his compassionate soul, easy sense of humor, and unwavering faith in Jesus. The kindness he shared with everyone he encountered and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need will leave a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. Mark had a knack for learning and had an unmatched ability to build, fix or craft anything he put his mind to. He loved driving and never turned down a long road trip listening to country music. Mark was the proud owner of Formanna Marketing Group which he founded with the mission to help people become financially free. When not on his computers, he loved being in nature and spending time with his family; many of his fondest memories included a combination of the two. Mark loved to reminisce about fishing trips with his children and siblings or share stories of time spent sitting in the woods enjoying the early sounds of the forest waking up. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, and he was extremely close to his nieces and nephews.
Mark is now reunited in heaven with his parents and his infant son Mark E. Barton II.
He is survived by his daughter Wendy Barton, her partner Shawn Catron and their children (Mikayla Barton, Isabella, and Dianna Catron); son Mark E Barton III; daughter Lora Lynn Neis, daughter Rebecca Barton; son Heath Wilson and his mother Ellen Wilson; daughter Sabrina Wilson and her children (Emaleigh and Henry); his siblings Stephen Barton and his children (Alicia, Stephen, and Desiree), Cindy Ward and her children (Michelle, Michael, and Jason), John Barton and his children (John, Jason, and Ashley), Shari Martin and her children (Lisa, Anthony, and Kristine), Timothy Barton, and David Barton SR, his wife Nicole and his children(Brittany Guimond, Katherine Gamble, David Barton JR, Ivory and Idella Spaulding). Many cousins, great nieces/ nephews, family and friends that he held close to his heart.
The family is eternally grateful for the compassionate care Mark received from his oncologist Julia Moukharskaya and her team at the Cancer Care Infusion Center in Lewiston.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 25th, at Maple Cemetery in Winthrop. Although Mark's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, may his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and generosity in all that we do. Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, Maine.
