AUGUSTA – Mary Brookings Lambert, 95, of Augusta, Maine and formerly of Farmingdale, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the Augusta Center for Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Bangor, Maine on March 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Wilmont and Eloise (Lovejoy) Brookings.
Mary was a quiet and peaceful lady who loved flowers with their roots still attached.
She had beautiful flower gardens and flower boxes on or near the banks of the Kennebec River, where she and her ancestors have lived for many generations.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Lambert, former husbands Olivier Chesaux and Arthur James Bryce II, her son Arthur James Bryce III, and by her grandson Brenton Stewart.
Mary is survived by her son, Gregoire Chesaux, of Portland, Maine, grandson Christopher T Chesaux, great granddaughters Janieva and Iris Chesaux of Bar Mills, Maine, stepdaughter, Claire Stewart and Husband Neil Stewart, stepson Stephen Lambert and wife Linda Lambert; Granddaughter Jennifer Tirabassi, grandsons Philip Tirabassi, Michael Lambert and Joesph Lambert, and two great children.
There will be no services. She will be buried beside her husband at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
In her memory plant a perennial or think of her when you cross Maine's mighty Kennebec River.
