1931 – 2023

EAST MONMOUTH – Muriel R. Chandler, 91, of East Monmouth, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn with loved ones by her side.

She was born in Litchfield, Maine on June 28, 1931, the daughter of Will and Rosie (Ridley) Farrington.

She worked picking green beans and canning them in high school to buy her first car. First girl with a car in high school. She worked for over 25 years at Globe Albany (Tex Tech) in North Monmouth as a “Burler / Mender”.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Muriel is survived by her two sons Gregory & Gary Chandler, Grandchildren, John Chandler, Heather Schiffer, Jenifer Culpepper, Tanya Wilson, Wendy Caron and Lena Mason; and seven great - grandchildren.

To honor Muriel’s wishes there will be no service and she will be buried in the East Monmouth Cemetery.
