1948 - 2021 RANDOLPH - Due to complications from a life well lived, on November 4, 2021, Natalie Farolyn (Spencer) Wing started a new adventure by passing peacefully at home with her family and friends by her side. Natalie was born on September 1, 1948, and was the youngest child of five. She was born to Father, George (Inchy) E. Spencer and Mother, Ethel (Get your clothes on!) Victoria Small. Natalie graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 1967. The day she graduated she headed to New Hampshire to seek fame and fortune! Unfortunately, neither one of those goals were attained and she returned to Maine to marry Bruce C. Dunn and they had a daughter together, Samantha Ann Dunn. Natalie was a single mom for over 15 years, as a result, her and her daughter Samantha had a bond that was unbreakable. Even though they each tried to break it more than once. She worked various and sundry jobs, sometimes three at once to care for her daughter. She worked such jobs as breakfast cook at Four Corners General Store in West Gardiner, bartender/store manager at the Outlet Pub in Manchester, stitcher of world-famous leather golf shoes at Etonic Shoe in Richmond, production line supervisor at Digital/SCI and an atomic submarine motor winder at Eastern Electric in Augusta. Her final job before she retired was to be the front-end manager at Goggin's IGA. (Randolph's # 1 grocery store!) Then one evening in the Winter of 1988 she met her soulmate Barry I. Wing. Their first date was ice skating on Horseshoe Pond in West Gardiner. That was the first and last skate date they had together, but they began another adventure and got married on October 1, 1988. Samantha had said to her mother, "That out of all the dub's she dated, Barry was the best one." Barry had two children from a prior marriage and Natalie soon became stepmother to two boys, Jacob, and Joshua Wing. Natalie from a young age always loved the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, canoeing, camping, and hiking. On occasion, Natalie would accompany her brother Gene to photograph him jumping out of airplanes. Sometimes she would be seen hanging out of the airplane to catch the right shot. As she got older, treasure hunting became her passion and dubbed herself a "Professional Metal Detector." You would often find her with her brother Ronnie beeping away in some old cemetery way out in the woods somewhere or swapping Treasure magazines and telling stories about their finds. Going to New Hampshire to participate in the annual ice fishing derby on Lake Winnipesaukee for at least 15 years generated many memories. She loved camping and fishing with her brother Carlton "up North" and gambling with her sister Virginia. As time went on, going to see her grandchildren participate in sports and spending time with them as much as possible, was her top priority. Natalie is predeceased by her loving parents, her brothers, Ronald E. Spencer, Sr., and Carlton V. Spencer, also brother-in-law, Michael Marston. As well as Barry's parents Kenneth I Wing, Jr. and Constance S. Wing of Gardiner. She is survived by her loving husband of 33+ years, Barry I. Wing of Randolph; her daughter Samantha A. (Dunn) Walker of Bowdoinham and husband Steven; stepsons, Jacob K Wing and Joshua M Wing of Florida; brother, Eugene Spencer of Center Tuftoburo, New Hampshire and wife Peggy; sister, Virginia Marston of Randolph; sister-in-law Sandra Spencer of West Gardiner; brother-in-laws Michael D. Wing of Richmond, Horace G. Wing of West Gardiner and wife Susan, Larry A. Wing of Litchfield and wife Holly; sister-in-law, Susan Feener of Florida and husband Michael; her treasured grandchildren, Matthew R. Belanger, II, Emily Victoria Belanger, Brooke Snowwalker, Skye Snowwalker, Angelina Wing, Kamryn Wing, Leighanna Wing, Jaidyn Wing, Joshua Wing, Stella Wing, Dylan Wing, and Marly Wing; many nieces and nephews. We would like to send a special thank you to Michelle Reed and Maine General Hospice for making her so comfortable. At her request there will be no visiting hours or services. We will be planning a celebration of life. For now, please smoke a big fatty for Nattie and we will see all of you in the Spring.
