Obituary

Noella Marie (Constanty) Peabody of Randolph, Maine was suddenly taken home to Our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 29, 2010 in a tragic car accident. Noella was a vibrant, loving mother and wife, sister, aunt and friend. She was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of many. Her laughter was contagious. She could light up a room with just her smile.Noella was born December 16, 1968 to Isolde (Kuhn) and Thomas Constanty of West Gardiner. She graduated from Gardiner High School in 1988 and went on to earn an Associate's degree in Accounting and later a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Maine at Farmington. Her calling was to children and she was held in high esteem as director of the Hall-Dale School System's After School Program where she promoted a nurturing, non-judgmental environment for children to thrive. Noella enjoyed every child in her care and loved each one sincerely. Her career allowed her the opportunity to spend every moment possible with her own child, the light of her life, Arianna, whom she home-schooled through the third grade. She was an incredible mother who loved spending time with her daughter. She was a kind, loving woman.Noella was predeceased by her parents, Isolde and Thomas Constanty and special 'nephew' Drew Bridgham and was survived by her husband of thirteen years, David Shawn Peabody, her little Bun Bun, Arianna, sisters Elizabeth Downs of Englewood, Florida and Dorothy Constanty and husband, Ronald Peabody, of Randolph, Maine, brother Thomas Constanty and wife, Deidra of Augusta, Maine, as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, beloved nieces and nephews and special close friends. The family wishes to apologize for the delay in announcements and services as the care and treatment of Noella and Shawn's daughter, Arianna, who suffered injuries in the accident, has been the immediate concern. We wish to extend our gratitude for the excellent care Arianna received at Maine Medical Center and are joyous to report that Arianna is on the road to recovery at home. We also wish to extend our sincere thanks for the tremendous support given and prayers offered in the wake of this tragedy.Visiting hours will be conducted at Staples Funeral Home 53 Brunswick Ave. in Gardiner on Friday, November 12th from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM where a memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 13th at 2:00 PM.
