GARDINER - Norine May White, 82, died Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Maine General Medical Center, Augusta, Maine. She was born in Gardiner, Maine, on June 30, 1941, to Dorothy May Peacock and William A. White, and her grandparents were Lutie and Fred Peacock, whom she often spoke fondly of. Norine was a Gardiner Area High School graduate and worked as a school crossing guard, childcare provider, caretaker, house cleaner, and dog walker for many local families throughout her career and life. She loved having guests over for dinner and enjoyed celebrating birthdays and special occasions with her friends. She was a faithful member of the Kennebec Valley Assembly of God. Norine pledged her heart, mind, soul, and strength to Jesus. It was her mission to honor Him by glorifying His name in all she would say and do. When Norine sold her home, she happily donated the proceeds to purchase a new steeple for the church. Norine is predeceased by her Parents; grandparents; brother, Richard E. Peacock, of Bangor, and best friend, Gloria W. Fields, of Gardiner. A future date will be determined for a celebration of life.
